Queue groups

Combine multiple queues behind a single QR code so queuers can pick the right one.

A queue group combines two or more queues behind one QR code. Queuers scan that single code, then pick which queue they actually want to join. Useful when you have several departments (service, returns, repairs) but only one entrance.

  • Multiple departments at one entrance. One sign by the door covers them all.
  • Online-pickup + walk-in mixed. A single group lets queuers self-route.
  • Seasonal or temporary queues that you don’t want to print a separate sign for.

If you only have one queue, you don’t need a group. Share the queue’s own QR code directly. See queuing.

  1. Open Flowby admin.

  2. Click Create group.

  3. Give the group a display name: this is the heading queuers see when they scan the code (e.g. “Choose what you need”).

  4. Click Create Group. Flowby creates the group and opens the group settings.

  5. In the group settings, add the queues that should be part of the group. A queue can only belong to one group at a time, so it’ll be removed from any other group it’s currently in.

  6. Save your changes. The group gets its own QR code and kiosk URL, ready to share.

  • Print a sign with the group’s QR code. See queue sign.
  • Use a kiosk on a tablet. The group’s kiosk URL shows all queues on screen and lets queuers tap their choice (or take a manual number). See kiosk.
