Queue view
How staff actually work the queue from the store admin.
The queue view is where staff actually run the queue. Each open queue has its own view; select a queue from the store’s home page to open it.
Calling the next queuer
Section titled “Calling the next queuer”Click Next customer to take the next queuer in line. Their phone updates immediately to show the call-to-action text you’ve configured for that queue, and the ones behind them shift up by one.
The Next up box on the right shows how long the queuer who’s currently first has been waiting. Quick read on how busy the queue is.
Manual queue numbers
Section titled “Manual queue numbers”If a queuer doesn’t have a phone, click Manual number to mint one for them. Tell them the number verbally; when it’s that number’s turn, the queue view highlights it so staff know to call out instead of waiting for someone to step forward. See manual queue number for the full feature.
The Queuers overview
Section titled “The Queuers overview”The people icon to the left of the queue name opens the Queuers page. It lists every queuer currently in line, how long they’ve been waiting, and any customer input they’ve provided (order number, name, etc.). Useful for picking orders ahead of time or for a back-of-house screen.
Working a group of queues
Section titled “Working a group of queues”If the queue is part of a group, the queue view shows a Show queues in group panel listing every queue in the group with its live count and front-of-queue wait time. Click any queue name to switch to it without leaving the admin.
When the first queuer joins an empty queue
Section titled “When the first queuer joins an empty queue”Flowby triggers a pop-up and (if device sound is on) a chime when the first queuer joins a queue that was empty. Useful when staff have stepped away from the screen.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Why is the gap between queue number and now-served not the wait length?
Queue numbers don’t compress when someone leaves. Queuer #15 might leave while we’re at #10. The next queuer still gets #16, not #15. So when you look at “now serving 10” and “next ticket 16”, that’s not 6 people in line; it can be 5 (if one left).
This is by design. Recycling numbers would confuse queuers who are watching the screen and waiting for “their number” to come up. For the actual count of people in line, look at the live count in this queue view or on the status screen, not the gap between numbers.
